UCONN 2000 represents a watershed in University of Connecticut history. The tremendous success of the program has given way to an era of expectation in which the University's potential is shining more brightly than ever. The ambitious goals the State established for UCONN 2000 are being met. Extraordinary enrollment growth is reversing the State's "brain drain," while the commitment of resources through UCONN 2000 has helped spur unprecedented levels of private investment. But as successful as the program has been, significant infrastructure needs remain unmet, and the State's aspirations for UConn are not yet fully achieved.
